The Latin American Congress of Biomechanics 2026 invites the academic and professional community and industry representatives to share their research, experiences and application cases in the field of biomechanics.

The call for abstracts is aimed at researchers, clinicians, sports professionals, engineers, ergonomists and technology specialists interested in contributing to the exchange of knowledge in the areas of clinical and rehabilitation biomechanics, sports biomechanics and injury prevention, and applied ergonomics and robotics.

The congress offers a space for the presentation of scientific results, technological developments and practical experiences, fostering dialogue between academia, professional practice and industry.

Shipping process and key dates (extended)

1. Submission of abstracts
Submit your abstract using the provided template for evaluation by the International Scientific Committee. It is available for download in Word format below on this site.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is February 27, 2026 at 23:30 (Costa Rica time).

2. Notification of acceptance of the summary
You will receive confirmation of the acceptance or rejection of your abstract no later than March 2, 2026, via email. The decision will be made independently by the Congress Scientific Committee.

3. Register for the congress to confirm your presentation
To secure your spot in the conference program, complete your registration and follow the corresponding steps. Once registered, begin preparing your 10-minute presentation so you're ready to present your work or poster.
March 25, 2026.

4. Presentation at the Latin American Congress of Biomechanics
Present your research during the congress and share your contributions with a global audience of colleagues, industry professionals, and key stakeholders.
April 9 and 10, 2026

5. Invitation to publish a full article (optional)
The best abstracts will be invited to prepare and submit a full article for the journal Pensar en Movimiento of the University of Costa Rica, at no publication cost.
End of 2026

6. Publication of the Congress proceedings
All accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings on the event's official website.
End of May 2026.
