With the actionable data obtained by Tekscan technology, it is possible to evaluate and optimize the following applications:

  • Foot function and gait analysis

  • Balance and equilibrium assessments

  • Orthopedic research

  • Analysis of animal gait

  • Foot mapping for shoe design

The MobileMat is a portable pressure mat used for capturing and evaluating static and dynamic foot function; this technology allows for accurate assessments of gait analysis, for a more complete understanding of the person's foot strike and movement patterns.

Tekscan: Pressure and force sensors

Tekscan is the company with the most experience in manufacturing tactile force sensors and pressure measurement systems for various fields of study. Their state-of-the-art mats and shoe sensors facilitate assessments to identify asymmetries between the left and right feet, analyze gait, evaluate pressure distribution ulcer zones, and much more.

The SB Mat is a specialized mat for athletic performance assessments. This equipment is a measurement tool used to evaluate the effectiveness of strength and conditioning programs, track progress over time, help develop injury prevention programs, and support return-to-sport decisions after injury.

The F-Scan is a pressure measurement system that is placed inside footwear to capture dynamic biomechanical data from real-life activities in various environments. This technology provides pressure, force, and timing information for foot function and gait analysis, enabling the identification of pathologies and injury risk. The F-Scan is used in various applications, including the design and testing of orthotics, diabetic foot offloading, footwear evaluation, and movement technique assessment in elite athletes.

The F-Scan64 is a wireless, shoe-mounted system for natural gait analysis. This technology works via Bluetooth with compact fasteners attached to shoelaces or the tongue area, connected to sensors. The F-Scan64 provides parameters such as pressure and force data, timing indicators, and center of force (CoF) data, contributing to the immediate identification of asymmetries and other pathologies. Ideal for clinical applications.

The Strideway is a flexible platform, adjustable in length from 1 to 5 meters, that provides objective information on time, distance, and movement parameters during gait. It also allows for the measurement of plantar force and pressure during each foot strike, enabling the quantitative assessment of asymmetries, gait rhythms, and segmentation of individual movements during the gait phases (initial contact phase, load response phase, mid-stance phase, among others).
